Hi,

Just had new fork seas fitted on a 2007 factory.

I’ve tried to set up the suspension to match factory settings.

Problem is I am not getting any clicks from the rebound or compressions damping nuts.

The spring pre load nuts click as the manual suggests they should.

Any ideas please?

You sure you haven’t got your adjusters mixed up as the preload shouldn’t click There is no need to go anywhere near the compression circuit to change seals so hard to see how they could mess that up.

Manual definitely says clicks?

no clicks for preload just turns.  Are you turning the blue nuts, thinking they are the rebound and compression adjuster ? It’s the adjuster in the centre of the blue nuts, not the nut itself.

I think you’re spot on mate. In the manual I’ve got them confused with each other.

Thanks very much

Just adjusted and all looks fine.

Only concern is I can pull the left blue nut up and down by 1mm or so, the right hand side doesn’t move at all.

Does this sound like something isn’t adjusted correctly on the left side?

There is a nut that holds the preload adjuster into the cap. If that is not tight you will have play. But on mine I had a bit of play even when the nut was tight so I had to put a thin shim in there to take up the slack you will only know if you remove the top cap from the fork so I would just monitor it and make sure it’s not getting worse.

I use these settings on my factory. Except with a fat bloke rear spring. Works for me Thumbs Up

If its good enough for Niall Mackenzie at Oulton Park its good enough for me...

Hope that helps
