A modern 1000cc+ superbike is going to be exciting and scary but with the electronics looking after you most can go out and enjoy themselves in relative safety. On most UK circuits a well ridden 600 or even less will be quicker than a average rider on a big bike and you learn to carry crazy corner speed which you then transfer to bigger bikes and then you are really moving! I'm not knocking anyone for riding whatever they like on track as I said it's fun but to gradually build your skill a smaller capacity machine will hone your skills and teach track craft in a better way in my opinion. 

i warm up with a lower mapping, my ducati feels like it has less power than a 400 in raid mode.
