Just received the 15 tooth front sprocket from redrat - thank you very much! Look forward to trying it out :)

Also update on the rear shock from MCT Suspension in Suffolk, as you all know I'm running a Sachs unit, feedback is a revalve, servicing with air and oil, upgraded spring and new seals. We had the Ohlins discussion but after these upgrades then the Sachs will perform as well as a standard Ohlins unit.

Next stop is ceramic coating the exhaust headers and collector then hopefully getting out before test day at Brands in September

So I got the shock back ;) serviced, revalved and rebuilt internally with an Ohlins piston, also went for the heavier weight spring powder coated in metallic blue. I really can't recommend MCT enough, they did this in five days and price wise was very reasonable, they also sent me a spec card including settings for wet and dry!

That does look good, surprising the difference a freshly serviced and setup shock makes. I ceramic coated and wrapped the headers on mine and it does make a big difference to the rear shock, I can ride it for hours and the damping doesn't go off and hold the headers with the engine running.

I've heard that they can loose dampening but I've literally never had a problem, track, racing at Silverstone, hard road riding for a few hours - never.

I'll get the headers coated at some point but only because it looks good and will help them last.

So after Snetterton on Tuesday - HUGE difference. The new RS pads from SBS were brilliant, infact on occasion i was nearly sat on the tank under heavy braking so I guess i need to work on my upper body strength a bit!

The rear shock after the rebuild and heavier spring was the biggest difference of all, I definitely feel I was quicker round the bends and the bike felt more planted both on acceleration and heavy braking.

It was my first time at snetterton and managed to get a video of the second session in inters, pics to follow -

Do you use stompgrips, I find them really good and give fantastic grip which helps take weight off your arms.

Some pictures from Snetterton Trackday on 30th September :)

Also got a few new upgrades for the bike, including oz wheels and new HEL brake lines from the teams sponsor. Taking advice from Stewart Gardner on the brake lines, they made a huge difference to him so I'm looking forward to testing them at Brands.

you'll love the oz's

also the brake lines as the old rubber ones swell under heavy braking

That's a shame mark, totally jealous of the decorating! Oz wheels are still in the garage, I only put a new set of tyres on the brembos last week and I didn't fancy paying £25 to get them swapped over :) tried the 15 front sprocket - certainly feels a bit more light on the front coming out of bends now - thank you!

Cow warmers are awesome, they're from an American company called IRC who do Eugene Lavertys warmers, they're ace :)
