Hi Guys, the akrapovic runs like a dream, it's definitely much smoother and doesn't limit the power as much as the standard one. This used to be my old road can but I've decided I'll run it for racing. First time I fit it it blew to pieces, I had to get it resleeved and internal core built within so it could handle the twin - aside from that it looks fab!

I've done a few track days at Snetterton on my RSVR and found 15/44 ideal, 140 mph on the long straight and great pull out of the corners. Was pretty much spot on for Cadwell too.

I did Cadwell a few months back with the 16/44 and found all it wanted to do was wheelie round the bends and try and flip at the mountain, for now I'll stick with the 16/44 as all the races left this season as fast straights - I don't want to get annihilated anymore than I usually do by the GSXR's and R1's 😂

I use 16/44 at cadwell like it alot that gearing over the mountain try just lifting your arse of set abit get over front the bike will wobble abit but with having no weight on it soon sorts it's self out bit like riding a crosser off road hope that helps

Thanks Mark! I've got a semi broken spare and just sold the other intact one - the garage is rather empty without fairings everywhere!

Race day is here, never done Silverstone and unfortunately they had to cancel the test day yesterday due to the Grand Prix last week - therefore first time on Silverstone int this morning in qualifying, went from a 1.36 to a 1.30.

Lost a fairing bolt, locktighted the rest in and James is currently tightening the suspension on the front.

I'm four seconds off my team mate on her GSXR 750 - race kicks off at 3 :)

So we finished the race! My team mate with the 750 GSXR overheated on her final 30 mins so I had to head out again - seriously hard work, shoulders mega hurt today and will definitely be investing in a double bubble, the hanger straight is hard work without one. Fastest lap of the day for me was 1min25.1 , half a second slower than the GSXR 750 and three seconds faster than the R6 5EB.

Scraped the belly pan which is annoying, will look to try and heighten it slightly. Will be changing the front sprocket to a 15, taken the rear shock off to be rebuilt and will be going for race sintered SBS pads for the next round (brands in September).

Also picked up a lump of rubber in the rear brake, good job I don't use it or depend on it! Road pads were a bit of a mistake, final finishing position - 49 out of 54 :) pics to follow
