I had mark from rcd make me some rearsets for the old zx9 as i found the angle of the rear brake really uncomfortable to use, i can't fault the old 9 as i was going to sell it when i bought my multi but just couldn,t bring myself to do it.

Nice one, it's a bike I never looked at when they came out and only bought as a cheap bike to ride and not have to worry about and was going to sell it but can't bring myself to do it as it just does everything really well and you can fit a curry and chips under the seat😊

lol,yea theyre superb bikes buddy.
i was very surprised!
as you say,at the time, the blade and mostly r1 overshadowed the zx9,
but as a real world do it all bike on our roads,
theyre very hard to beat.

paint flaking off the wheels are about the only problem most moan about.
kawasakis realy have some character too unlike alot of il4's.
lots of attitude.

and them being overlooked only benefits us as theyre one bikings great bargins!
the engine is alot better than the equivalent fireblades.

Yes not bad, quiet enough round town but goes into a nice howl. Not as much tuning parts around as you would think as I think these got overlooked by most people and they are getting on now but exhaust wise I would just buy any can you like and get a link made.

true, most used ones are dented and battered on ebay.
i can get a gp can made up by a16 for around £150
or s.p engineering gp can is about £200 and both bolt straight on
i had one or the other on my last c2 and it sounded amazing,
better than any other bike ive had and fitted a race can too.

just cant remember which one it was and ive only pics of it with the standard can on
