Oh to be able to go back in time to the late '60's with a Mille ( and a shed load of spares) .

Just think, open roads,Police were only just getting Panda cars and radio communication was patchy, radar traps were strips of rubber cable laid across the road 100 yards or so apart on the odd occasions one came across them and best of all    5* leaded petrol @ a few pence a gallon!

Oh, and road tax was pocket change and it did get spent on maintaining the roads,so no potholes either.

The music was better then as well Wink

Ready mixed?  When I were a lad the oil come from a separate container and you put x number of squirts into the tank depending on ratio needed.

It was a culture shock when BelRay ? bought out their synthetic oil that mixed @50/1 after being used to oil @18/1 Confused

I hated 2 strokes when they were all around us but now they've gone I miss the sound, and even more the smell of them.

Don't miss riding with the hand hovering over the clutch lever waiting for the seizure though .

My mate has one of them, we sometimes take it to trackdays as a spare ride and I've never ridden it just in case I seize it.

That's tidy!! Mine wasn't that tidy but then again I was 18 and I'd had my licence about five minutes!!! The seizure would have entirely be down to neglect. Didn't have it long then px'd and used all my inheritance for a seed replica nc30 from power sport in Bradford!

The workshop was in the basement, when they brought my nc30 out it was like it was coming out of the bat cave!!! My old man was with me and he was having kittens!! Rode most of the way through Bradford in first because I couldn't get my foot round the gear change properly!!

"Eee, when I were a lad!"

3 pages in and nobody's made any jokes about polishing their helmets? You are all getting on a bit!

I'm only 31, feel about 91 though.
