I’m no expert and it’s always a controversial one.

Personally I see no reason it couldn’t be repaired.
The next important question would be, would you be prepared to ride with it plugged. Only you know that one as I know what I’d do but I can only speak for myself.

I’ve had that same dilemma last week, picked up a puncture in the middle of the rear and was thinking about a repair but there was a niggling feeling I couldn’t shake..... ordered a new rear and it’s on it’s way.

I had a screw through a brand new tyre a few years ago and decided to run with it plugged. Kept a hyper critical eye on pressure but ran it for thousands of miles without issue. I think I might have changed earlier than I normally would but the profile was probably gone by then anyway.

As said, only your brain will tell you what you must do.

As long as its done right it'll be fine.
I plugged one myself on the rear of my old Exup, never lost any pressure til I picked up a nail in the side wall, due for changing by then anyway.

I've had an M7RR plugged before, no problem.
People say I don't know Jack Sh1t; but I do, he lives next door.
