Miss is teaching her class about adverbs.
"Okay kids, can anyone give me a sentence using the word "definitely"?
Maisie puts her hand up "Miss, the sky is definitely blue"
"Sorry" says miss, "that isn't correct, the sky can be blue, grey, white"
Daisy raises her hand "Miss, leaves are definitely green"
"Sorry" says miss, "That isn't correct, leaves can be green, red, brown"
Little Billy raises his hand
"Miss, do farts have lumps in them"?
"No Billy, of course farts don't have lumps in them"
"Oh" says Billy, "then I have definitely sh*t myself miss"!

Ha.

I'm having to work hard on my English Language at the moment as my 9 year old is reminding me how much I have forgotten! Forums and such don't help either as most of us cut the language down or don't try talk proper(!)

I recall reaching in Spain a student said " is that the Gerundio"
I said I don't know what language your speaking but it ain't English till another teacher pointed out that the Gerund does exist in English too... So I did the honourable thing and blamed the student for his poor pronunciation :)
"Si me dices ven lo dejo todo ... pero dime ven"
