now your talking, NORTH YORKS!!! One of my faves is Settle to Hawes, it's a roller coaster & the dips get bigger the closer you get to Hawes.. I will keep my eyes peeled on here for any of you guys heading out

LOL it's the 3 hour boredom on the M6/74 that I'd really not appreciate.
However, if I swung of at J36 South lakes on the way up, I know some mega rounds round there,,,, then up to Scotland, that sounds more like it!

 Anybody ever been to silloth on the solway firth cracking cafe the blue dolphin mega roads
and as a bonus one big mother of a car boot sale on a sunday
usually set off about 5 30/ 600 am over shap on the A6 to penrith
Then head for wigton then on to silloth on the way back head for aspatria on to the A66
turn off for kirkstone pass brew at the top  then a slow ride home due to all the sunday drivers anybody fancy it pm me and i will let you know when we are going Smile

If Hawes is too far to get to in a day, make a weekend of it! Ride up on the Friday, stay in Gisburn or Clitheroe at the start of the good roads, ride around in biking nirvana on Saturday, few scoops Sat night and ride back home Sunday Thumbs Up

We did this a few years back on the old forum 'The Great North Run'. We stayed at the Station pub next to the Ribblehead viaduct. Great weekend.

I parked at front of the park nr road for about 1/2 hour ,had a wonder round...Is yours the Touno with MIVV pipes, had agood look at that...Not overly keen on Southport, prefer Rivvy n Devils etc
