In the eighties as a teenager... 85 Suzuki TS50X 86 Yamaha RD125LC Passed my DAS in '98..... 98 Suzuki Bandit 600S 99 Yamaha R6 00 Suzuki Bandit 1200 99 kawasaki ZX9R 02 Suzuki GSXR-1000 02 Honda VFR800-A current bike... 03 Aprilia Tuono Mostly good bikes (the Honda wasnt my type of bike)and not one has missed a beat although the RD125's chain did snap on me 10 miles from home, so I pushed it back! I've only owned the Tuono a few months and so far I'm absolutely converted, though if I could afford two bikes I have to admit I would probably have a GSX-R as well.

Sorry guys I'm a bit of a rookie to biking but wish I'd started alot earlier now. Only been riding a couple of years, but feels like I've been riding for years. Haven't had the novel and prestige bikes that the mojority of you have had but here's my small history. Done my Direct Access in 2005 and bought myself an 2001 Bandit 6 half faired. Hacked around on that for 9 months covering about 10k and had the need for something a bit more challenging. Then bought 2001 CBR6 FS, great reliable bike till I told it I was chopping it in for a mille. Was good to me for 13,500 miles and 15 months later chopped it in for my current bike a 2004 RSVR [}:)]. Done 5,500miles on it since sept last year and tracked it on Brands in March, wot a bike!!! Never stop grinning when out on it. Would consider swapping it for a new factory or an old Haga rep. V twins rock.........[:p]

God it takes me back thinking of my old bikes In order they are.... 1974 FS1E, coffin tank and front disc brake with Nitto no grip on the front and yokohana slippy over on the back, man i came of that bike so many times sometimes even in a straight line[:D] I sold that for a A reg RD125LC that blew up so many times i couldnt afford to repair it and flogged it to some bloke that kept a YammaGamma 500 in his living room and then i bought a Honda CG125, man that bike was wicked, like brand new and did a million miles to the gallon, eventully this was parked into the wing of a mazda 323 that tryed to do a U turn in front of me. I had a bit of a lay off after that but eventully passed my test and bought a Suzuki GSX600F I kept that for 8 months and then bought a brand new GSXR600 that i kept for 7 years(and still have, but now it has a 750 engine in it) and now i have decided to get summat differant and bought the Tuono 4 weeks ago which feckin rocks

Here goes mine 1975-2008: God that looks old!!. 1964 James 350 field bike. That heavy you couldnt call it a trail bike. 1970 Honda 400/4. An even heavyer trail bike. 1964 Lambretta LI 150. Progressed onto railway lines, disused ones of course, when the small wheels kept sticking in the mud. Hard work trailing one of these two,s up! 1965 Lambretta TV 175. Tuned this baby up and it kept seizing. Had it rebored and rebored until i ran out of barrel thickness, 227 at the end 1974 Puch 50 Sport. My first legal venture on the road. Spent two years chasing Fizzys. 1980 Yamaha RD 200. Passed my full test on this baby. Spent a year chasing LC,s 1981 Yamaha 350 LC. Spent three years getting chased by everyone. Ahh the microns castol r and the rebuilds. 1989 Honda CB1 400. Needed a reliable bike and thats what i got. Ran it for 10 full years winters and all. Broke down once rectifier.Great bike! 1991 Honda VFR 400 nc30. A very capable bike, if only we didnt have straight roads. Wish i,d still kept this bike. 1999 Aprilia RS 250. My first brand new bike. As good as the VFR when it was going but unreliable and expensive to run. 2001 Aprilia Falco. A do it all bike and it did.Commuting, touring, scratching and track days. Kept up with eveything and my mates on R1,s couldnt understand it. 2004 Aprilia RSVR Factory. Own the corners. 40 odd bhp down and my R1 buddies still cant work it out. Another good thing about this bike is when you get stopped in wales and the police ask what it is, they seem to write Aprilia Harris VR. Wrong details squashed ticket, result! Poor r1 owners. Let the love affair continue. Lets here more, its tickled me, and thats a good thing to a grumpy old fart in this day and age!!!!!!!!

Hmmm, well hi firstly (1st post got to be done, lol). Noticed a lack of pics in this thread & i'll need to post a pic as most people say "a what?"

Ahh, interesting, had to insert between text.
Anyhoos, please ignore car lol. ......next pic:

Anyone guessed Big%20smile

I registered it as a Honda Harrier. I built it in 1998 from a Bros 400. It has an Africa Twin 1998 750cc Engine (trailie gears still), a CBR 600 front end (in Bros yokes), a VFR 750 rear wheel eccentric n brake, with an ohlins rear mono shock. Fairly rapid & outmanouvers anything.

I also have an old CB200 mothballed in the garage (strange to see them on the wall of death still) & my new addition a RSV Tuono Carbon (aparently only 25 ever made). I loved the ride of the RSV but the Tuono is easier on the leg (until the metalwork gets removed -  back riding 4 months after a 8.5 year lay off whilst they rebuilt my right legWink).
Find the Tuono currently twitchy in low speed tight bends & vibration (suspect chain) through heavy handfulls...going to have a play with suspension setting & lowering front a tad. Bit buffety too past 120...ahem.
Still tempted to spend my remaining waller for an RSV but will play with the Tuono first (can't get another bike in my garage - gonna be fun when the RX7 comes back, lol)

Enough talk, a pic of the new bike (not great, taken on mobile):

Whole thing (bar tank) is race carbon fibre & has a twin conversion exhaust. Think I'll change to the Metzler M3's though - Unsure what the new Rennsports are/like?

Noticed no options for givi box (I do rallies too) but am sure I can rig my Bros one up for occasional use, I'll post up if it goes well.

Well that's me for now.
