Hello there all, This is my first post, so please excuse my ignorance. I Had my 2003 Edwards out for the first time on sunday, And she blew two indicator bulbs, after changing them the flasher unit seemed to be very noisy and the bulbs were flashing slow. Could it be the flasher unit and if so is it difficult to get to and replace? Any help on this prob would be greatfully appreciated. Many thanks, Corkie..

Obvious thing to check is the rating on the replacement bulbs they should be 10w, too high a rating will make them flash slow.
Flasher is easy to get to its mounted below the clocks on the fairing bracket.
If you need I replacement unit I have got one you can have for the cost of P&P Edited by tricolourmille - 18 Feb 2008 at 22:44 |

Cheers M8, Your probably right, the bulbs were 21watt. would this make the flasher unit noisy?. Corkie.

The standard flasher relay is load sensitive. It's designed that way to detect reduced load when a bulb fails and warn you by a faster flashing rate. 100% it will be your problem.

Hello,
Where is the best place to get hold of a replacement flasher unit, the relay behind the instruments? Steve |
