Just thought I'd let you know there's a couple of pages coverage of the new WSB v4 in this week's comic.

Also, for all you budding racers...they're still looking for a second rider!?!

Hmmm, as a nation of sportsbikers, I am always amazed how we  ( me included at the front of the queue Tongue) will scour the stands at the NEC for a 40 quid titanium "what not "that will save  .0000bugger all of a gram, and then stuff down two burgers , 5 doughnuts in sugar and 3 lagers !

On the thread front "Bearded Lady " Max is supposed to be testing at Parc Algar following the last race of the superbike season, and lucky old me will be there on hols

And, according to MCN, Shinya Nakarno is ready to sign as Max's stable mate.

Yes, I remember seeing that.  He was amazing.  He couldn't understand what all the fuss was about!  Apparently, his was the first 200+mph crash.

Assuming that the lovely Italian totty around the bike are  the  typical tiny 7 or 8 stone exhibition stand babes, that is one small bike, which means it will be a cracking race bike for  the waif like Max and bugger all use to 6'2" 16 stone little old me.

Very aggresive looking bike, shame about the can

Got to av 1 if i  buy a wining loto ticket. And not a £10 one!! Be interested in what exhausts they use in wsb through the year. Im certainly not a lover of the exhausts, its so not italian me thinks. But the rest of the bike is how my mate patrizio puts it "stile e presenza italiano al relativo meglio" Jools

A fabulous looking bike I look forward to seeing in the flesh

it's a bloody site better looking than the new R1, obviously jealous of Aprilia's reputation for having the most tacky frame colour in "Factory Gold"  Yamaha have taken the oportunity to claim the crown by coat ing the new R1 frame in a blend of anodised squashed berry and deep gay boy pink ! whatever were they thinking about Dead

Rsv4 looks nice for sure.

biggest problem they have is the price. R1 might have a tarty frame but at 5 or 6 grand cheaper it will still sell.
Aprilia need a mid bike big time. as it stands it's shiver to rsv4 in one 10 grand leap if you buy the factory.
I was in a dealer on Sunday and he said at it's current price they are shifting rsv's big time. they had 4 going out today but not one single order for an rsv4 and they were a bit worried.

A very valid point,  and given the development costs that the new V4 will have, and given that Aprilia does not have the jap volumes to spread those costs across it is difficult to see how they will compete, Taking ducati customers will be tough. The  new  V4 factory will be squarely up against the  Ducati 1198 S  so I wonder which the average punter with a big wallet will buy, I suppose that depends on what  Max or Nori  does in 2009,

Just out of interest does anybody know how many RSVR 1000 and Factory models will be sold in total in 2008 ? I bet it's only a couple of hundred....
