Hi all.
I have been away for three years now, riding some jap stuff. I want to come back maybe on a RSV4. Thing is, do you guys reckon the APRC is worth going for? I fancy traction control and quickshift in particular. Now I am also looking at Ducati 1098s and 1198 (base) as options. Basically price is my main thing. I have found a 09 Factory model, so without APRC, and I am very tempted but should I wait for the current RSV4R APRC to come down a bit? I will track occasionally. To confirm, my options are , the old Factory, RSV4R APRC (if I can get a deal) or the Ducati's? Anyone who has owned any or all please advise. Plus is there a difference in the old and new factory RSV4? Only a mate of mine reckons the old ones will depreciate like mad as they are not APRC and have unreliable engines due to lubrication. Lot's of questions I know, but I'd like a keeper this time. By the way I am 6ft 1" slim build 12 stone. I only say that if you think my height maybe a problem. Thanks everyone.

If you go V4 i would get the Arpc if you can. Not because it has APRC but because it has a fairly heavily revamped moter which is a fair bit stonger reliability wise.
I am on a Duke currently and luv it and i would say having come from 9 years of Aprilia rsv's Ducati backup is night and day better than official Aprilia although there are some good aprilia independants. With the Panigale coming the 1198 will drop in value so spring would be a better time to buy an 1198 when they have all been traded in for 1199's They are quite different beasts so i would test out both. The 1198 rides on a wave of torque but will be more vibey and won't have the top end of the V4 so you will probably prefer one style or the other if you try them.
