I'm him thats Jim, thats me, Going either M40 M42, could go M1 but last i was on there there was miles and miles and miles of 50mph just after M25 ...... would say cut across the A43 but i think there is some sort of silly race going on that day with some bloke called 'Cal' i think it was racing

M25 then onto the M1 and follow the M1 until you get to junction 18, turn off there and pick up the A5..
Trust me, it's the easiest and quickest way from down south, I've tried them all - M6 M40 M42, A5 from dunstable, the top route is the easiest... Taking that route, I can get to Griff's place from Chelmsford in 2 hours 40 minutes! NickyBoy

18 is my nearest M1 junction, sounds like the exhaust perv knows the way anyway
