Yep, I tested a RSV4 with one on recently, the guys hanging around could still hear me when I was around a mile away,I didn`t even rev it past 7k at that point. When I was revving it, even a Lancaster bomber was no competition. Forget track days with em.

They claim they can get down to 98db with some baffles that fit in the inlet side of the can, on the shortest cans they will still be loud i would think.

Did Cadwell on Friday with a mate who has an RSV4 with an Austin pipe fitted...

Needless to say we put the larger baffle in before noise testing & it still made 110dB.... FAIL!

Cadwell staff offered to lend us a dB killer free of charge for the day but also asked him to warm the bike up without revving it & try again.

With careful throttle control to "JUST" undder the required revs (Only 500rpm) it passed without the dB killer thankfully!

You only need 2 tools to bike racing, WD40 & duct tape. If it moves & it shouldn't use the duct tape, if it doesn't move & it should use the WD40 !

If you have to fit DB killers to a race can to make it usable it's not really any use as a "race" can is it ?
It's unlikely to get any quieter as time goes on. By being minimalist, it's light and free flowing but never going to be quiet.

I had a very noisy Leo Vinci system once. It was cool when they revved it at the dyno after fitting and for a while after. 6 months and several horses launching into orbit that shat themselves later it grated on me and got sold.

If your not bothered with plod or noise testing and just want it for looks and weight saving, then go for it.

Edit - Griff has a video of one on a v4 on his u tube page, if you want to hear it. Kin loud.
