Noriyuki getting  the Factory Ducati 1098 ride vacated by TB was bloody good news,  but even better is that Tom Sykes has got one of the vacancies on the Yamaha Italia R1. All he needs is a good team mate  to show him the ropes ( hope Corser stays  now Nori has gone) and  Yorkshire might have another WSB champion in 2010 or 11Big%20smile

My money is on corser to got to BMW.  Rumour has it they have offered big bucks and with Troy being in the twilight of his carrier he might just take the payday.

Where will Max go ?

I hope Shakey gets somewhere, it would be a shame for him not to get a factory ride in WSB. Are Airwaves still on about going to WSB?

Difficult to see where Max the "Bearded Lady" will pitch up,  in the past he has pissed off Yamaha and Honda in MotoGp so they will make sure he doesn't get into Ten Kate or Yamaha Italia ( although the thought of him sharing a development workshop with Rossi's GP team would be priceless) He has pissed off Suzuki in WSB, Ducati don't want him on a factory bike, so his options are the second tier teams, or perhaps Aprilia, KTM, BMW, but they don't need prima donnas they will need solid development riders if indeed they do show up in 2009.

Can't see Shakey going to WSB personaly I think Ducati will make it worth his while to stay in the BSB camp as they have filled the factory seats

I think Neil Hodgson will be back soon too

Apparently Biaggi is set to sign for Aprilia (in a deal worth one million euros over two years- thats less than Rossi gets from his helmet sponsor in one !) to ride the new v4 in World Superbike.  So even though I have a  sort of brand loyalty to Aprilia,  appointing the bearded lady as no1 rider will definitely not inspire me to  support them

my rider loyalty  will not shift from Nori " The Dogs Borroks" Haga, and the new pride of the White Rose county Tom Sykes.

In fact I reckon if Aprilia bring out a Biaggi replica V4 it will be unsold and  gracing the showrooms of KJM alongside the Edwards Replicas in about  5 years time LOL He might have been a hero for them in his 250 days but they are scraping the barrel with this one

Not a fan of Max his histionics and ability to spit the dummy at the merest thing dont bode well for a new bike in a very competative championship.

If theya re cheap enough in 5 years time I will buy one and de-Max it LOL

There is also a hint from Yamaha that Spies might end up with Toseland in Moto GP at Tech 3. Although they have signed him to Yamaha Italia WSB, apparently they have told Edwards that if he doesn't get his finger out and show some results that they will move him to WSB and give his seat to Spies. -  It was in Motor Cycle News so it must be trueLOL

I know Spies is a legend in the USA, but how he will shape up in World Supers remains to be seen, But I'll  be  patriotic and say in his first year Sykes will outperform him. I also want to see how his "bottle" is when  Nori is 2 thou' off his back wheel at 180mph Tongue

It's not speed that kills...it's coming to a sudden stop that's the problem

I think that Spies is going to do well, once he gets some time with the new circuits. Having watching him and Miladin in the AMA for the last 5 years, there has been alot ofveery close racing. Miladin may not be Haga, but he has no problem riding on top of you back wheel @ 180 mph. They have been trading paint for the last 4-5 years. I am looking forward to seeing him on the Yamaha kicking dirt in the face of Suzuki.Star
