Hi Guys & Girls.
I have a 2006 RSV1000R.
After having the fuel tank up for a while, the bike wouldn’t start. I assumed the possible combination of the fuel level being very low and the tank just being up.
The next day, the bike started instantly and ran perfectly. Later that day, the bike started and ran for a few seconds but then cutout.
Suspecting the possibility of bike being too low on fuel, I topped it up, but it still wouldn’t start.
It’s now a non starter;
No spark, both cylinders.
Code 12, “crank sensor”.
Any guidance, advice or help, greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I wouldn’t take it for granted re the error codes as 11 and 12 often pop up with non start cranking. The usual suspect after lifting the tank is the white plug that goes to the tank loom ( usually cable tied to the left subframe rail under the seat) It gets stretched when the tank is right up and often partially unplugs. Would explain the erratic run/non run but not lack of spark.
