You've really got to torque those bolts down. Even slightly over torqueing and they will crack, I guess that's what happened.

Yokes and fork lowers at the pinch bolts are delicate bits of kit if the bolts are over tightened. ------------- People say I don't know Jack Sh1t; but I do, he lives next door. |

Forks have been on and off a few times of late as the garage messed up the internals when changing fork seals. Just cracked the top one on one side when tightening. I assume I didn’t tighten them equally meaning top bolt moved more than it should. Always nice to snap the final bolt after finishing a long ass job!
