Too right Mark! Big smile

Cruising through the villages. Wanted one of these since my mid teens and saw one at Santa Pod.

We rented a cottage in Flamborough to watch Race The Waves on the beach at Bridlington. This Pop was freshly restored and in the Show and Shine show. Mari noticed a small for sale sign in the window.... next thing she was on the phone for me lol Clap
Really got her to thank for pushing me to go for it... "C'mon Rick, lifes too short and this is your dream"

Slight leak on the rad, so ordered a Serck Motorsport proper job radiator

Thanks David Wink

Yes Mark, I've got pics of this in the 80's and it used to have a Jag IRS and Carlos Fandango Wolfrace slot mags. That's gone out of fashion now and peeps aren't keen on the old type 70's/80's stance and super wide arches.
Since then it's had a purpose built pro mod chassis, rear inner arches been "tubbed" and narrowed Ford 9" axle amongst other goodies! Thumbs Up

Crikey Adam, hope you're all mended and no lasting damage Ouch

Thanks for your kind words Storkers and loving the pics you posted. I go to Santa Pod usually 4 times a year and started going to NSRA nationals at Old Warden near Biggleswade. Funnily enough, I grew up at Home Farm there, until my Dad passed suddenly when I was 12.

Yes used to go to old warden regularly till my Dad moved to France. Will have to go again with my boys. What engine is in your pop?

Hi Storkers, sorry been off line for a bit with pc problems Ouch

I's a Rover V8 built by JE Developments with balanced crank, racing cam/lifters, stage 3 big valve gas flowed heads, billet steel conrods and Omega forged pistons, holley carb and Offenhauser inlet modified for the supercharger etc etc. It's making 300+bhp with the supercharger, with more to come once run in and fine tuned.
I have a few plans and a Rover 5 liter motor from a TVR on standby for the future and a twin turbo set up. But love the look of a blower over turbos, even with the parasitic loss of running from the crank pulley, there's no lag like with turbos.
Thing I like about the Rover is it's tunability and lightweight being aluminium. I could make more power with other motors, but for me this is the quintessential English hot rod and it has plenty of power everywhere. Big smile

Sounds spot on, and like the nod to all English setup. I like the blower look too, over turbo, and love the distinct sound of supercharger whirl!! Rovers very tuneable and for less…. As my Dad found out his coupe had a mild tuned 454BBC in it….. did push his coupe just into the 9’s tho
Have you any plans to run it at the strip?
