Hello Mates. Is a bit of rear wheel spin while the tail is on the lift normal? I got me bike in 1st gear, clutch pulled in, engine at idle, and noticed the rear wheel (while up on the stand) spinning. Is this part of Aprilia drivetrain design and normal or an indicator that the clutch discs/plates may need replacing?

Any details on dos and donts of changing the clutch discs/plates?

'17 RSV4RR all stock

Cheers mates! Beer

Every bike I've ever owned does this to some degree nothing to worry about.

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left

Yes they all do it, especially when cold as the oil is thicker, I know they’re dry sump but there’s still oil on the plates to cause a little drag.

Many bikes will do it in neutral too...constant mesh gearbox.
