Nothing found in search, so...
Removed my Oberon slave to clean the area and dot3 starts to drip out of it, where the push rod locates. No obvious signs of leak before hand and clutch was working perfectly.
Difficult to see looking in the hole of the slave, but does the seal actually seal the unit or does it seal round the push rod? i.e. should fluid drip out when the unit is pulled off the push rod? I would have thought not, but I need to ask.
Anyone got a link to a replacement seal please and how should it be replaced?
Thanks.

Heard back from Oberon already and am returning the slave to them for refurb.
One other question for those with knowledge; is it normal for the clutch push rod to be solid i.e. I cannot rotate it and it doesn't move logitudinally either?
I did turn the engine over with slave off to check the push rod didn't rotate, possibly indicating a seized release bearing, and it didn't rotate.

I was in the dark about this as well as until recently I thought the pushrod turned with the engine.

It doesn't, at least not unless the bearing is seized or the diaphragm's torn.

The piston in the slave cylinder is sealed to the bore with a seal, nothing should get past that seal, If any blowby occurs then it might end up trapped behind the pushrod seal and come past when the pushrod is removed.

Essentially that shaft seal is only there to keep lubricating grease in and stray sh*te out.

There's a reason why sports/race bikes use a cable clutch.   It's called reliability

The pushrod will generally vibrate round with inertia via engine revs etc. Ducati twins used the same clutch and slave design and they modded the pushrod to have a locating pin that sat in a slot in the slave to prevent the rotation. I’m not sure what the implication was by it doing so, maybe extra heat from friction transferred to the slave or maybe wear.

Apologies to anyone confused by my earlier post  Ouch Embarrassed

Seal leakage like I described might be possible with MPL/Factory slave types but not I think by OE or Oberon styles.

I was still thinking MPL when I posted,as the piston is inserted from the outside in those into effectively a blind cylinder.
Blind apart from a seal round the pushrod that is.
