Hi All,

Looking for some advice please.

I've been having a clicking sound from my front wheel for a while now, I decided to remove the wheel and check things over, my left side rotor was rattling more than the right, I removed it to check how bad it was and it is beyond use again BUT...I noticed the direction arrow pointing the wrong way, I checked the right side with the ABS ring and again pointing the wring way of rotation.

On inspection they look the same, the previous owner must have had them the wrong way, could this have done any damage anywhere since both sides look exactly the same.

The Brembo one I am looking to buy do not seem to have a direction arrow.

I know there is a correct procedure on fitting these correctly on the Aprilia, seen the video.

Any suggestions?

If they have directional arrows then they are usually designed to have a hole pattern or cut angle to aid cooling and/or reduce low speed pulsing. I doubt it would make any difference to bobbin or carrier wear though.

Thank you for your response.

I have them the correct way now and the left caliper went on much easier, the left side rattles a bit more than the right ABS side but I no longer get a judder on braking hard.

Ill maybe give the bobbins a clean out.

Did someone instal the rear wheel the 'wrong way around'?

I think you would notice the rear wheel in the wrong way around 😁
