Going to put new upgrade ttz12s battery  on my 09 Tuono this week as original is over 12 yrs old now , is there any thing to look out for etc , much obliged

The negative lead needs to be the first to come off and the last to go on to avoid the potential for a spanner shorting the battery to the frame.

yes I know about order of disconnecting and connecting thanks ,it’s the other stories around , but think gen 2 later models are just a straight swap ? But I am fitting the upgrade battery t14s as to the Oem 12 YBS ?

Yeah there's a reconnect process or something for gen 2 isn't there? To prevent the immobiliser looping and draining the bike overnight. Hopefully someone with some actual useful information can fill you in on that.

Also, if it's not a lithium battery it's not an upgrade 🤭

I think the reconnect sequence was only for a short run of earlyish gen2 Factory's with a certain clock set,similar age Tuono's were not affected iirc.

All fitted only had to reset the clock, the 2 trip mileages went to zero , Gear change light stayed at 9:5k, happy biker
