Anyone got any views on the best choice of double bubble screen to take most of the turbulence over the top of the rider?  That and quality of screen.

I can only find Airblade, MRA or Powerbronze ones for the Gen 1, and can't for the life of me remember which one I fitted previously on my first gen1 as that was 15 years back!  MRA I understand were the first to mass produce these.

I was always quite fond of Skidmarx screens.

Not a Double Bubble but I've got a Sports Touring screen from Zero Gravity and I think it's perfect. It moves all of the wind blast from my chest to around and over my helmet stopping all buffeting and makes the ride MUCH quieter.

Thanks, I'll take a look.  I'm assuming it's a bit like the standard one but angled up at the top?

I had an Mra double bubble which was fine but a word of caution. The screen angle focused sunlight onto the dash and on a really hot day it melted part of the dash casing at the bottom.

Wow...I'll go for a light smoked one if I go that route.  Heard this was a problem with some of the others too.

I had an mra db on for many years and it worked really well and now have an mra sport touring fitted and also on my zx9 and they work even better for me.

I've got a smoke MRA standard profile for my Gen 2. Never been a fan of DB screens as I think they spoil the lines of the bike, and I'm 5ft 6in so getting out of the airflow has never really been an issue for me, but personal choice reigns.
I've had Zero Gravity before but I find the quality of MRA better, can't vouch for Pwerbronze or Skidmarx though.

I do like the look of the MRA ones and all their stuff is of the highest quality.  Zero Gravity look good as well if a little pricier.  I like the idea of a blacked out base to the screens as I may make a bespoke mount and charging point from the battery terminals up to behind the screen terminated in a USB charger so I can mount my BMW Navigator V unit somewhere there.  Anything that shields it from direct light would be a plus.

Here you go. Not the best pic but you can see the screen.

I use an optimate usb lead, they’re quite long and plugs into the optimate charger lead, works really well.]

Good shout.  I'll fit charging tender leads to the battery anyway. I just need some properly rated wiring from the battery terminals to the USB charger which I'll fit in the dash area somewhere and look for a generic phone or satnav holder....harder to find the right type than I thought!  I may drill a few holes in the dash cover and mount one on a bracket there onto the carbon.

That looks spot on.  Not too tall so doesn't ruin the looks of the bike.

The optimate usb leads are long enough to reach from the seat unit, you don’t need any extra wiring, they also do a twin plug lead so you can leave the usb plugged in and still plug the optimate in.

That's a good shout.  I use a CTEK charger which has it's own connector different to the optimate one so would have to use that lead instead, although I do have another charger that uses the same connector if I can find it!
