It’s the pb project blade, 172bhp, 173kg fuelled, it feels like a pushbike.

It’s got rotobox carbon rims , Kevlar bodywork, lightweight subframes, mountains of ti bolts, lithium battery and numerous other bits, I need to make a bracket for the can as it’s only supported by the springs and wobbles quite a bit and some carbon in the seat unit where the rear lights bolt through as the Kevlar lets it wobble but other than that ride it.

Up close the bodywork is track quality but it was purely built as an exercise in lightness to see how an older modded bike compares to a modern superbike, I can’t wait to get this out on a dawn run 😊

I ordered the sicom brakes yesterday 😊 I always wanted the braketech ccm’s for my rsv as I think they look even tricker but I don’t think they will ever get round to making anymore sadly, can’t wait. Took it out for a short run yesterday afternoon and Christ does it go well but the suspension needs softening off as it’s on track settings.

Wow that's a big spend on discs! Do you find them significantly better than stock or are you well into diminishing returns there? Imagine the bite, power, feel and weight will be improved a lot. Guess without ever riding on brakes like it's impossible to know what you're missing.

Never tried any ceramic yet and with the work that’s already been done on this to lighten it anything I do will be in the same vein and they’re trick as.

Alright mate, adjusting to the new world etc. Hope you're well friend. Really pleased with the Duc, it's also a light bike. Duc claimed 167 dry, Marchesini etc. I've changed all black plastic to carbon and a few other things. Looking out for some cf wheels and will prob go Brake Tech discs again, but...... Maybe ceramic? Joakim at Spoonvalley was saying I should have with the Ape after I bought the ss ones for the BST's. Mind you, he also wants to supercharge the Duc!!

I always wanted braketech ccm’s on the rsv as they look better than the sicom but no show from them for the foreseeable future, I was looking at a spoonvalley kit for the rsv but the amount of extra machining and parts you had to source yourself at the time nailed it for me, mine is at wratthal’s at the moment getting rebuilt with as few upgrades 😃

The weight saving will be further from the axle where it matters more too. The carriers would be similar you'd think.

Wratthal’s sprinkled some magic over it and it’s now putting out 183bhp with 88lb/ft of torque, pistal pistons with super finished gearbox and ceramic bearings with billet velocity stacks.

The Mille was finished as last winter hit, had the gearbox super finished with ceramic bearings as well, he modified the sigma and fitted an extra steel and friction with the evo 5, still not sure about the akrapovic though, need to do a back to back with my original system.

Well I wasn’t able to use the nissin 6 pots on this so they’ve gone on the rsv, the M4’s off of that are now on this and sicom make pads for them and hps stock them, because sicom were messing me around with pads Giles at hps offered to lend me a new set of M4’s with new pads and when I explained I could swap mine off of my rsv and it was pointless him ending up with second hand calipers he really appreciated it and did me a deal in some other parts. This is the sicom’s with M4’s now and I just need to go through the bedding in procedure.

Could be something out of a magazine that picture Warren! Brand new racetechs, brembo M4s, k-tech compression adjuster, quick release dry lines, carbon wheel and carbon mudguard. All framing those trick Sicom discs.

I always wanted a set of the braketech cmc’s and I still think they look a lot nicer but I can’t see them ever getting anymore made, they were made on the back of the stealth bomber contract and when the us government cancelled anymore b2’s braketech lost the in road to manufacturing.
