Looks like the aerial for a remote control. There's someone up by the clubhouse controlling the bike, Badger's just there to stop it flipping over the mountain.     Shocked

Either that or a tie wrap.      Embarrassed

I guess your right , making the first move is the biggest move though Confused if your got a few m8's willing to come along for encouragement thats a bonus but id be worried sick about dropping it even though ive had very few falls in 25 yrs and most of them were on non gritted sheet icy roads Angry

Absolutely love Cadwell.  Everyone feels the same the first time you take your own bike on a track, but fear not, easing yourself in, learning the track and pacing yourself will ensure an enjoyable experience.  You sound like a mature fella, so just employ that well honed self preservation and enjoy.  Be warned however, once you have the bug, it's hard to give it up.

Keep it shiny side up Wink

Its tepting to say the least, and never getting the full potential out of the bike on the road without risks is another factor ... speed camers.... blah blah blah . I need to look into it a bit more to finally make a move and do it so ill see how it goes over the summer months Thumbs%20Up

Am away with work until June, but give me a shout if you fancy Cadwell in July/Aug.  Will go at your pace, no pressure.
