Evening everyone. After 34 years of riding sportsbikes I have to finally admit defeat and hang up the one piece leathers!!!
I'm selling my lovely 01 but registered 03 matt black RSVR. Mileage is 7100 miles, there's loads of history.
Excellent condition, the only marks being a couple of small zip scratches on the left hand side of the tank.
Oil and filter change by Griff and co at the Salisbury service day this year. Evo induction kit, FR200 chip and modified collector fitted and set up at the same time. I have the standard parts (apart from the bloody rediculous exhaust!). The fork seals were changed in March this year.
V60 private plate to stay with the bike
Always on the optimate, so the battery is good.
Owners manual and Haynes manual as well.
Original Troy Bayliss screen
I will attempt to post some pics, but if any one is interested I can email or watsapp some over.
I'm looking for £4000.
It's bloody horrible having to admit that age is taking its toll!! Mind is willing etc etc
Any questions or info and I will get back as soon as poss.

Thanks
Danny

Thanks , I fully realise that I am a bit thick

She's still for sale! (The bike not the missus, although some arrangement could be found!!!!!). Going to put her on the bay to see if there is any interest.

Bit of a late call but did you have any luck selling on the bay?

Evening, no it was one of those "never got round to it " things! I was never that enthusiastic about selling her, hoping that the old body would let me carry on riding a sports bike. Anyway, reluctantly she's still for sale

Dan I only just noticed your location on the left, if you were closer I would be very interested! Damn. Finding good quality RSVs or RSVRs of that age is becoming increasingly difficult.

So you need to travel to find one!

Sorry to be blunt but you know it will be worth it, especially with that mileage. Train down, ride back to get to know it. .... mmmm  Maybe at this time of year, a van or trailer may be better! Seriously though, it's an 'R' with all the goodies that brings and looks mint. The only thing better would be the last 03's with radials, but only if you can find one with similar mileage and condition. Just do it!

You're right, I do need to travel to find a good one. If Dan's was local I'd be all over it, I'd struggle to find a better one I reckon, its just this time of year in the run up to Christmas with young kids etc I don't have the weekend time to sort out the logistics.

Ray, I think that I need to employ you as my own personal sales rep!
Wilko, whereabouts are you in this great country of ours? You might have guessed that I'm in no great hurry to sell, I don't tend to rush into things anymore!

Plenty of companies out there that would courier it up to you for around £120 mark.

And it is Christmas and the greatest gift you can give is a new to you rsvr :)
Besides think of the joy on the family's faces when they see how happy yous be unwrapping it !

Me I hot sealskin socks last year and some spare gloves well chuffed

Ha, I do like to treat myself at christmas flatlander!

j180 good idea, but I wouldn't normally buy a bike that I hadn't even at least fired up and heard running and had a damn good look all around it. Usually I'd ask for a test ride too, money in owners hand though sort of thing. Although I have asked a courier for a quote, just to see how much it would set me back

I'm near Stroud, Gloucestershire Dan.

I notice this has come up for sale again on the dreaded auction site. For probably quite a bit more than he bought it for from Dan!
