fault code help please

hi peeps i am new on here and i am after some advice on buying one that i have found.
the owner has stated that the starter solenoid and relay went replaced with genuine second hand part
and now there is an electrical fault code displaying does anyone have any thoughts on what it might be and if its an easy fix many thanks jack.

Right so I spoke to the owner and he told me that when he first turns the ignition on the dials calibrate but instead of the revs going up to 12000 they only go up to 6000 he then said he had been told by a mechanic that this was a fault cheers.

Is it a gen 1 or 2, different way to set shift light on gen 2

6k is default running in mode I belive you can set it to anything from 6k up
see below Redline threshold (engine off only) ,and reset to 9.5k no point going higher bike has run out of power by now anyway.
 
RSV1000 Mille/ SL1000 Falco LCD Dash Functions
Resetting the service light
  • Key on
  • Press Lap and R for 5 seconds


Switching KM/H to MPH
  • Key on
  • Press A about 5 seconds until blinking
  • Press B to change unit of measurement
  • Press A for 5 seconds to confirm choice

V max
Uses trip odometer #1 (the odometer displayed during instantaneous speed)
  • To reset trip odometer #1 press R for 2 seconds
  • To display V max and distance of trip odometer 1 press B for 2 seconds
  • To reset V max press R for 2 seconds


AVS (Average Speed)
  • Uses trip odometer #2
  • Hold down B for 2 seconds and then press again
  • AVS is displayed along with distance of trip odometer #2
  • To reset both AVS and trip odometer #2 press R for 2 seconds

Redline threshold (engine off only)
  • Press C, release, and press again
  • Release C when desired RPM is reached

Battery voltage
  • Press D once

Setting hour
  • Press D twice
  • Press LAP until desired hour is reached
  • Press D to confirm

Setting minutes
  • Press D three times
  • Press LAP until desired minutes is reached
  • Press D to confirm

Setting °C or °F
  • Press D a fourth time
  • Press LAP to alternate units


Chronometer (Lap Timer)
  • V max, AVS, and trip odometer #2 no longer function in this mode
  • Press LAP and within 0.7 seconds press D to enter chronometer mode
  • To start timing press LAP and release immediately
  • To store a lap time press LAP
  • To display lap times press B
  • To cycle through the stored laps, press LAP
  • To reset memory press A and LAP for 2 seconds
  • To leave chronometer function press LAP and D

Right so I now have a video on my Facebook page with footage of fault I don't know how to get in on here so if you search jack lewis-clowry you should be able to view it and see the fault it is a gen 1

No faults there. It's just defaulted the shift light to 6k which happens whenever the batt is disconnected.
 
The power on sweep goes to whatever rpm you have set the shift light to.

Thank you red bought me a 02 rsvr and sorted the clock issue instantly now I am after a exhaust for a thumping sound anyone got any ideas cheers.
