Anyone on here had the pleasure? Opinions, experiences, etc?

They seem to be popping up at very tempting prices.

Yes there ugly, butt the motor is peach and sounds awesome, riding position compared to my gen 2 felt a bit wrist heavy butt I've only riddenmy friends 1 for 10-15mins a time. The biggest thing I was worried about every time I opened it up was doing the wrong side of ton butt it didn't seem that fast

I like the look of them, they've always been my favourite shape R1. I rode one about 4 years ago at the NEC bike show but never had the chance to give her any real treatment. I did like it though.
I was thinking about a v4 Tuono aprc but I'm not hearing great things about the early ones. I've always wanted an R1 so I'm tempted to get one for 12 months or so and tick it off my list of must own bikes.

Excellent bike despite it being one of them marmite ones in terms of its looks, still felt my 07 R1 was a better bike but it is definitely one of them bikes that you could throw in a garage, leave it for a year and then just fire up first time, very reliable and extremely quick particularly out of corners.

Had the 09 big bang in stealth black with the 3 different mapping modes, beautiful thing, reliable, crazy fast in map A,has a rain mode which is useful, I owned it for about a year and never had one fault with it, reliable jap technology...not like our Italians lol, only parted with it as I needed cash for deposit on new house, loads of torque like a variety twin but accelerates stupid fast like a top end inline 4 ,with aftermarket cans the sound was nice and beefy 2....if buy one again tomorrow to go with the Aprilia he h had the money

My mate in Newcastle has one...well near there anyways...but f**k me it's fast, got a few extras on his though but nothing out the ordinary...personal opinion on looks but the motor is stonkingly (is that a word) strong.

I love them and would defo have one, I like the brand new ones too
