I know that this is an ancient thread but, it's a good question with no conclusion, so.... I think what is required is to swap the whole linkage plates and dog bone assembly to suit the shock being used. I recently posted a link to a table of interchangeable parts re the rear suspension.I'll try to re-post it here aswell.
