I know that this is an ancient thread but, it's a good question with no conclusion, so....
I think what is required is to swap the whole linkage plates and dog bone assembly to suit the shock being used. I recently posted a link to a table of interchangeable parts re the rear suspension.I'll try to re-post it here aswell.

Some really interesting info, unfortunately it only applies to earlier models up to 2005  i think.

gen2 has to use gen2 triangles and linkages 

in a gen 1 /falco/tuono there were 2 types hence why you have to swap stuff as a whole
