15/45 will get you out of corners well as will 15/44 and won't see you run out of revs at the end of the front straight , you'll probably be 5-6 mph faster at the end of the straight over 16/44 .

a lot depends on whether the wind is a head or tail wind as well although watch out for the cross wind at the end of the grandstand if its coming from thai direction

Got a Gen 2 running 15/44. Yellowrsvr (Gen 1 - think he's on 15/44 aswell) and myself are doing Portimao last weekend in May. When are out there?

Good luck mate. We did it last May also, absolutely brilliant 3 days on the circuit. ..... no buses, taxis OR blind old women getting in the way
