Hello everyone, signed up again as I have just purchased my 2nd Mille. It's a 2004(54) RSV1000R. Previously I had a 2001 RSV Mille and currently also have a 2001(51) Honda Fireblade (until it gets sold in the spring), I also like to collect BMW cars and currently own three.

Got a few questions to ask as the bike has a couple of common issues (mileage reset and immobiliser light flashing), but is generally in fantastic condition and has a low mileage for it's age - just haven't got an owners manual or a clue how to use the dash! Just waiting for the shop that I purchased the bike from to deliver it and hopefully I can sort out these small niggles.

That's a great start, thanks...

At least I will know how to turn it to MPH instead of Km/h

not to throw a bucket of water on your bonfire but with those 04 bikes there are a few issues you gotta check out,

make sure its had the swingarm recall done, dealers will still do it now but make sure!

check out the brown conenctor isnt about to burn up, best to replace it now as it will go (search on here or on the af1 forum for loads of how too's

keep an eye on the charging circuit as the stators are prone to pooing their pants

other than that enjoy the thing!! its an awesome bike when you get them sorted :) :)

Thanks, appreciate the kind offer. I am sure that their will be plenty of cries for help when it arrives and I get out on it.

There is an issue ATM with the indicator switch not functioning properly, the shop I bought it from are awaiting spares to repair this and then hopefully it can be delivered to me. On the plus side, I now have an instruction manual and repair CD courtesy of our friends over on Egay.

I have also bought a new double bubble screen and some frame crash bungs for security - just need my new toy now....Cry

Finally getting it delivered tomorrow afternoon, it seems like such a long time ago that I did the deal but a few minor issues have meant that it's taken quite sometime to sort out me taking possession of it. I think that I will leave the road tax for this month now and see how it goes.

I am sure to post some pictures of it when it comes and then badger you all with problems as they appear.Thumbs Up
