Afternoon all.

Been lurking in the background doing some reading for a couple of weeks now. Thought I should step forward and introduce my Mille.

2003 Mille R on an 04 plate. I am the 3rd owner and managed to stalk down the 1st owner to get some additional history. 12500 on the clock, 57mm throttle bodies and ecu off an Edwards, BMC air filter and an ugly can that sounds epic. All in all a very clean bike that appears to have been well looked after. It's tucked up in the garage for a total strip down, clean up and sort out for spring. Usual things and basic mods and then I'll see where it leads. So far I absolutely love it. I find myself daily with a brew sat staring at it ha ha.

Here we go:

Very very nice. I have front end envy. Black frames make the yellow bikes a bit faster but not as fast as black fairings ;)

Congratulations.

P.s I also do the tea and stare thing although I usually find thw teas cold as ive been looking at it to long lol

Cheers for the welcome but Woodsy while I agree with the cold tea issue (every damn time) I have to call you out on the black fairings theory. I believe if you contact Aprilia you'll find they will confirm that the yellow ones were made in limited numbers due to the fact that they are considerably faster. Even the wsbk team rode black as Corser, Haga etc just weren't up to the job of handling the yellows.

That mate looks the total tits, The black frame makes the yellow look so lush.

Sorted wheels there dude.

And Amen to the tea staring thingy. Maybe it's got potential for a thread of its own ... you know bag or loose leaf, Yorkshire or PG, number of sugars, what biscuit to go with it and whether it been finished before it gets cold ......?

Maybe too many parameters there though

Gizmo

Oh I dunno. Decent enough thread hijack. Ha ha. Normally Earl Grey and as my wife is a baker there's usually a bit of Vicky Sponge or something to go with it. After a while you get used to cold tea.

Pmsl

The reason they had to uprate the suspension etc on the R's was to give them half a chance of them keeping up with the silver bikes ;)

Now I'm no pipe aficionado like your good self but I do not like that can. Or black cans in general. It doesn't half sound good though!! It will do until I get hold of a twin setup.

Hang around on here for a while and you'll see how badly my pipe fetish goes Hahahaa!

I bet it does sound good, a twin system could be right around the corner for you, w00dzy is selling his twin akra system I think, all you need is the cans....

I wish. Will have to wait until the new year. Between buying the bike, new computer, moving house blah blah blah, endless list of things that have destroyed my wallet recently. Gutted!
