Then ones fitted, grease them up and cover them with some sort of rubber cap to stop the grunge getting at them.

Actually no, that was a stupid suggestion wasn't it?        But some sort of additional protection from the elements would be good.

I let them soak and soak and soak BUT I've managed to ferk all four heads on the bolts that hold the rear hugger on and they're all rounded off - Huffffff

Get yourself an Impact driver and cut a slot in the head. best bet to get them out.

Cut slots in the hugger and pull it off the swingarm. Give it a bit of heat and use a proper pair of vice/mole grips on the sides of the bolt head. Don't use too much force when winding out, you'll risk snapping the head off. if it starts to feel like it's going tight, spray in some oil and wind in a bit, to lube the threads. I use a rocking motion, wind out a half, wind back a quarter -until you feel the bolt loosen on the thread and the tightness has gone - then wind out.

i got the same problem i going to cut small length of allen key glue them in and see if that works 

Oh well, I think I've bought something that's almost a no go.....

At best, I think only the frame and engine are salvagable, now the engine maybe gone.....

I'am gonna go and cry in a corner lol

Gotta say, looking at the state of that bike, you're a braver man than me.

No problems that can't be overcome. Don't forget it was put together by Luigiunskilled so nothing a skilled technician can't undo!

Busy - learning curve - Errr yeah just a little lol, either way I'am gonna be dropping the engine out and it's gonna be my first time doing that so bit nervous lol, I've got the Haynes book and an Anna stand plus a mini scissor one so I'll give it a bash.!

Gutted mate . However everything is not lost might cost a little more than planned even if you have to cut your losses but I'm sure you will still have the goddard rep one way or another good luck buddy

Nicky  - Andy Galloway on the FB page had a Gen1 Swing arm recently he may still have it .

drop the forks out and rear wheel off mate make the rest of it as light as anything ....

I'd do above no front or rear and have the bottom of the engine on a padded piece of wood and lift the frame off the engine
