Oops! I seem to have bought a brand new gen 2 updated s/arm for less than the price of a pair of carbon protectors Never thought a very cheeky 'buy it' now would be accepted. ![]() Ho Hum, yet another shiny piece I didn't really need, better source some new bearings and seals now I suppose ![]() Edit: 'kin 'ell ! I just noticed it's a complete arm with ALL bearings and seals fitted. There must be a catch here somewhere as they go for £3200 from Aprilia genuine parts! Now sitting waiting for the axe to fall |

It’s the real deal Ian. It’s a complete one for the recall when it didn’t, in many cases happen. There was this former aprilia dealer selling them a few years ago at £399 (I had a couple) that were in for the recalls but they clearly didn’t actually do them.
They didn’t realise they had a prime example perhaps. Knew you’d like it. I’m good at spending your cash after all. Still have those discs here next your feeling flush 😉

Yeah, that makes sense I suppose. In a way I feel bad that someone somewhere has probably been ripped off by a dealer and I might be benefiting but Hey Ho, about time something dropped into my lap. Hopefully they pack it properly and it doesn't arrive all dinged up. The funny thing is I was resigned to buying a pair of carbon skins to cover the can scrapes and dings in mine which retail for more than this unit costs delivered! Regarding the discs,I'm sorry but mine are very adequate atm ![]() I notice there's one of the dodgy '04 arms for sale on the bay for £48
I hope anyone buying that knows the risks involved |

Well it arrived, a brand spanking new, still in it's protective plastic skin and complete with ALL bearings and seals ready to fit gen2 uprated swinging arm I'm still a bit gobsmacked tbh,I was planning on just covering the scrapes on my unit with a pair of c/f covers, but this windfall has actually saved me money. Thanks for the heads up as no way would I have found it otherwise,as I long ago stopped looking for bike parts. In fact since un sorn ing my old Mille track bike and getting it Mot'd I haven't done any work on the Tuono or even bothered finishing my tyre mounting rig so I can fit the new tyres to my newly powder coated wheels. Even my Mrs thought I was just buying this arm as an investment, although since looking at my original arm now refurbed with new bearings/seals and a grease nipple fitted,I was struck by the fact the scrape was well hidden behind the std can and would only show if I fitted the Mivv's I acquired on a whim so hmmm, maybe an investment after all ![]() All in all though probably better than money in the bank with interest rates as they are |

It was too good to pass up on Ian.
Even if it does nothing it was criminally cheap with your offer. At the time I felt like buying it and have zero use currently 😂 Nicely done.
