Hi, Long time since I have logged on. Last summer I ended up taking the rear shock away for a quick service during a race meeting and taking the rear shock top bolt out from the clutch side and putting it back was a pain in the ass. Normally during wintertime I have the fuel tank away so I can unscrew the undertray and the rear subframe loose for better access. I just got my suspension back from service and exceptionally the tank was on and the bolt was such a problem to put in its place that I decided to reverse the positions of the t-bushes that are in the frame for the shock top and dogbone front mountings. So, now both the t-bushes are on the clutch side. Anyone else done this and is it even a common practice?

Probably not much use to you by now but I seldom visit the site these days Yes, I reversed the bolt orientation as well, it helps that my frame lug under the new nut posn is nicely flat and square. The only issue I wondered about was the nut being close to the hot pipe and loosening but loctite and a dab of paint to mark the nut orientation have proved the idea works ok
