Bought it to use through the winter at the end of last year and flip without doing/spending anything but decided to treat her as the other bikes are just getting cleaned nothing else to do apart from the pit bike but that's my daughter's project. I'm seriously considering keeping it to be honest cracking bike to ride and retro cool!

Well I'm thoroughly bored now,got the garage sorted out and most of the non bike stuff stored in another, rented garage so I have room to work.

Got the Tuono up in the air on the new Abba Skylift ( wonderful piece of kit ) and been slowly taking bits off to service it and do a deep clean.

Already costing more than I thought it would, forgotten how much things like oil and filters are, and that's before refreshing things like decals and dogbone linkages    Confused

Definitely should have cleaned it after the last ride though, the dead flies and bugs stuck in the polished ali rad are almost impossible to remove now they're baked on Cry

Surprisingly the T bag filter under the fuel pump was pretty clean, hardly any sediment stuck around it,going to change the inline filter while in there though just in case.

Plenty to keep me going still, just hope I can get to ride it again sometime in the future, otherwise someone is going to be getting a bargain well sorted bike.

It's really turned into more of a therapy to keep me occupied thing than a means of transport now as I just go out to the garage for a few hours whenever I feel able.

I have spent the last few days making some pannier brackets for the Superduke, just in case we do get away this year! Might stick a photo on when they are painted.

Excellent, you got the Skylift in action! I've decided to get one as well. It will make life much easier and for my set up, less of a compromise on space than a ramp.
Can you somehow re-hydrate the bugs over a few days?

Here is a pump I pulled with a teensy bit of ethanol damage......... Shocked Shocked Shocked

Question everything.

The latest project of cleaning up a GSXR750 SRAD was going well until one of the eight exhaust bolts sheered off, not bad going as they don't look like they have ever been disturbed in 23yrs.

Easy fix normally, but brother with a Tig welder is 50 miles away and I don't think it can be classed as essential !

That's downright scary Shocked

I was expecting some crap on my pump knowing it had been kept outdoors and also had the overflow tube blocked but I was surprised as it looked almost new.

What vintage is that one?

Yeah, really pleased with it . Much more practical than a table for my garage.

The only downside I've come across so far (and this applies to any sort of wheeled tool) is that my garage has a very rough concrete base so moving the mounted bike around is harder than it would normally be.

I thought while I was throwing money at them I'd also get the wall mounts for my Superbike stand and front arm kit so that freed up some more floor space
