Evening all,
Well, birthday today so i thought id treat myself and ride to work for a change, sun was even out!
Got to work, park up and walk over to where i was for the day.
Finish work and come out to get on my bike and find a piece of wood under the stand?? why i wonder?
Just as i get closer a bloke comes out from a wowrkshop opposite and informs me that the tarmac had melted in the sun and the bike went down!!
Gutted.CryCryCry
He was kind enough to pick it up and put the wood under the stand for me.
Scuffed tail section, end can, snapped carbon exhaust hanger, bar end, clutch lever, wind deflector, wing mirror, crash bung (luckily not fairing) and footpeg!
As i said, Gutted!
Didn't even know it was that hot today!
Hope this never happens to anyone else!

Sounds dodge to me, did you inspect the tarmac ?. I reckon it got knocked over with that amount of damage.

Gutted for you all the same though.

yeah that was my initial thought however i could clearly see the  hole in the tarmac where the stand had dug in. unfortunately either way i'll never know for sure.

Happened to thousands of bikers I'd imagine over the years. Still annoying though :-(

One place I worked at, bikes weren't allowed to park on the tarmac in the summer, not because they didn't want our bikes to fall over, but because they didn't want side stand holes in their pristine car park. Twats.

Yep, I know how gutted you are, It happened to My ZX7R a few years back.
Thank fully  my thoughtful employer built motorbike parking area with a concrete base enough for 8 bikes with a cover over the area, strainge that our factory manager is a biker.
