Won't start!

   Just done valve clearances myself, changed shims etc. Was feeling quite happy with myself. Put it all back together, pressed starter and nothing, just a whirring noise like when you first turn key on and it goes through the checks before the rev counter needle drops.

Any ideas where I hit it with the hammer?
