Got myself a Fireblade side stand from AP and fitted to my Gen 2 T. When swept up it clanks against the exhaust. I've glued a small piece of hard plastic against the stop so it doesn't happen. However it just feels like a bodge job to my engineering mind. I thought about drilling and tapping and putting a small screw in there. Anyone else's do this and what have you done to over come it?

Cheers!

On my last rsv (gen 1) I had a 2-2 exhaust fitted and the fire blade stand hit the exhaust. It didn't bother me and don't think it's that much of a problem. I've heard of people putting a small weld around the area where the side stand is bolted on (it that makes sense) it stops the stand just short of hitting the exhaust.

That's what I did to stop my Bubseywoo Mk2 ( One for the forum oldies LOL) touching the bellypan when up

It only needed a small blob of weld then file or grind down to fine tune
