I want to take my flywheel off to get it demagnitised a bit. I have been searching for an idiots how to guide but struggling to find one. Is there such a thing or can anyone give me tips please?

There are no tricks to it really. Just a decent quality  good fitting flywheel puller so you don’t strip the threads and lots of heat. And use the correct loctite when refitting.

Thanks - heating which bit? Erm...doesn't that demagnetise it :) ??

Heating around the shaft area as the crank taper the flywheel sits on has super strong thread lock. The heat will soften and release it if hot enough.

Baking alters the magnetic properties not short term localised heat.
