Hi all, what should the normal running temps how long does it usually take to get to temp? Obviously it all depends on outside temp, but at about 10 degrees, mine hit 80's within 5 minutes. Is this normal? Thanks all

Riding or idling? Mine runs in the high 70's at those sort of temps but will climb a bit once the outside temp rises. If stuck in traffic it will hit 85 where the fans will cut in. 80 is probably fine depending on riding speed |

At an ambient 20
80 - odd within 5 minutes seems normal to me. Rises to nearly 100 - if you’re crawling through the M25 traffic - because someone forgot that Epsom was on.

If it’s a gen2, the fans kick in later than a gen1

I'll have to see today when the fans kick in. I presume they should.keep.rynning after bike is turned off too? I would have thought 100 is a little too hot before they kick in?

My gen1 used to kick in around 84 i changed the thermo switch and it now comes in around 92
The fans dont stay on with the key off but do with the ignition on if the temps high enough

The comparisons need to be like for like really. The gen2 uses only 1 sensor which is on the rear cylinder which runs slightly hotter, hence the dash will reflect that. A gen2 will normally show 95/6 when the fans kick in and can show well over 100 in slow traffic. It’s not normal to see a gen1 read that high. |

I was out on my Gen 1 Tuono yesterday and got stuck in slow moving and stationary traffic traffic for about 10 mins. The dash temp display got up to 94°C, then I guess the fans kicked in as it went down to about 90°C before I moved off. Once on the move it settled down to the normal 74°C. It doesn't take long to get hot, but it cools down quickly too.
