Hello

 

Picking up my new RSV4 Factory on Saturday. Cant ride it on the road until 1st March, but that gives me a week to drool over it and stroke it in the garage.

 

I rode a 2012 Factory for a session at Portimao in October last year and that was that. The 2012 ZZR1400 has been sold, the GSXR1000K8 has been sold. The wife's BMW has been downsized to a Peugeot 107 (same colour so she has not noticed) and my first ever Italian stallion is on its way.

 

As a complete newbie to Aprilia's I would be grateful for any wisdom built up from years of joy/frustration.

 

The bike will be used on the road and I have committed myself to leaving it standard for at least the first year. Its main use will be for the dozen or so track days I do each year. I expect it to be down on power to the K8 (173 bhp) but corner entry, mid corner and corner exit should more than make up for that. Hopefully the electronics will help to stop me lobbing it into the scenery as I have done with my last 2 GSXR's.

As to leaving it alone for a year mod wise, Betcha can't !

Not that we will encourage you to mod in any way shape or form of course.
