Yeh N, I thought that about the headlamp bulb but that is how you purchase it comes as a unit from most Halfords type shops, just release the wire clip to get it out of nose cone.

The new fuel pump seems to have cured the problem ๐.Need to check the bike over for any loose bits then get out for another 50+miles and some higher revs! Thanks to all of you for your help and advice and to Griff for his knowledge and fuel pump ๐

I'm wondering if changing the pump and filters after a period of time /mileage would be a sensible preventative idea? I never had cause to doubt my 24,000 mile T until it just cut on me one very hot day, going uphill when low on fuel. It started again immediately but happened again several times until I filled her up and not a murmer since. Given what I've seen regarding the filter/ hoses and t bag and knowing my fuel overflow tube has been blocked in the past when the bike was kept outside I'm thinking perhaps a strip down may be advisable. I do actually have a spare pump unit complete for a late gen1 which I believe to be good, if they're compatible? |

I wouldnโt know if they are compatible but it makes sense to me to change if you have a spare. I am hoping to get the fuel pump that I took out refurbished so I have a spare
