Struth - have you seen the price of stuff on fleabay.

Pretty please - does anyone have a Gen 2 Airbox lid that could use a new home?

Alas my shape shifting/swollen tank is now too big and the AP seal is too baggy at the back and front left hand side……the mystery of the flat/week spot at around 1800 to 2100 RPM has been solved.

Years of the big K then an Ape - one with twin Akras, AP air box mod, twin NRVs, 42t rear sprocket, great big 12V cables, 200A solenoid, 40A MOSFET r/r + headlight switch + stator cooling + PCIII map.

Have you tried Adam ( badapple). I know he’s moved a lot of his stock on but an airbox is something that might be still lurking in his shed

Indeed I have im down to around 30% of what I had but I have a couple of airboxes.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left

PM sent, badapple.

For all - there is a god !

Hi - thanks for the rapid response.

Apologies for my slow response - I’ve not been good - health wise.

You’re not going to believe this but I made a friend while I was in hospital - he mentioned in passing that he’d had a Gen 2 - we exchanged numbers and I thought nothing of it.

About a week after my escape: his wife phoned me and said ‘I’ve got something from him for you, I’m near you and I’ll drop ‘round’ lo and behold amongst the bits was a lid!

She said he wanted nothing for it as I’d bought him stuff - papers, the MCN and stuff - but I insisted and gave her a tenner which she’d promise to spend on their kids.

Yes - I do waffle on - but many thanks - I really appreciate your offer.

Here’s to his pelvis being mended - bless him, eh!
