1st post since 2017, recently started following APWorkshops on Facebook. Until today when I seem to have got banned and blocked as I can't see the page anymore and I also cant see Aprilia RSV owners page, so it looks like someone has complained about me and admin / moderators have banned me with out contacting me first. I am not aware of doing anything wrong. If someone reading this follows them on Facebook can you please ask why John Smith has been banned and let me know thanks.

Unfortunately if your profile looks a bit iffy I.e. locked or no photos it sets alarm bells ringing as a scammer
Did you answer the questions ? Or just ask to join?
If you answered were they sensible answers ?

Hi, I was on there for a while, helped with member problems, sold some parts, give some parts away for free. Even had people collect from my house so not a scammer.

Seems like the moderator is on a powertrip, i guess people who are waiting for delivery of some parts are now worried they have been scammed which is unfortunate

I asked if someone could ask on the facebook page why i have been banned, if you cant do that then i will wait for someone else to ask. I registered on RSVR in 2008 not posted since 2017, I thought this site was dead and by the looks of it only you are keeping it going. I found the APWorkshop page and joined that, my name is none of your business it could be Janet if anyone was concerned about buying from me on that page I explained my name to them and always provided proof of postage and like i said people have collected from my home and I have give stuff away, I fail to see how that is a safety issue

He is not really helping by insinuating I could be a scammer, because I dont share loads of pictures on facebook. I am not here to get into an argument, I only asked if someone could ask why then let me know

Most of the visitors still here come because they don’t do Facebook, so not sure you will get any definitive answers if we are not frequenting the group. Maybe messaging Ap might be your best bet as they run the group and can ask the moderators directly.

its fine, their loss not mine. I am still listing on market place and Ebay. The only downsides of not been able to access that page is I cant help with advice and if someone is asking for parts I cant respond. It is strange that the only pages I got banned from are Apworkshops and ApriliaRSV owners on the same day within minutes of each other, which makes me think a mod or someone was upset because I refused an offer on parts or they just didnt like my posts. I expected more from AP and anyone associated with them

I am an admin on the page in question there is more than one John smith hence my question Rsv owners

I guess only 1 John Smith was banned in the last 48hrs without a reason, if you thought i was dodgy why no contact first? I could have give you the names of people who had been to my home and those that had purchased parts that were posted and were received. I didnt just sell parts I helped with tech problems. I just sold a discontinued part that someone was asking for, really bad moderating of that page. All you are doing is hurting the people I am have been helping.
On APWorkshops page I gave away a load of fairings and parts and they were collected from my home by a fella called Duane, A guy called Kieron was asking if anyone had an inner cornice for a gen2, they might be discontinued I sold a new one delivered for about 50% rrp. I have an twin pipe arrow exhaust making its way to Norway so go on a race bike. Well done you kept everyone safe by keeping scammers like me from posting on your facebook page

nobody is trying to help me, and I am not giving anyone sh*t. The advert for the Arrow exhaust was originally taken down because I didn't put a price or location. My fault as I thought when I said I thought it was worth £300 that would have been a good enough indication of the price and location. Whoever banned me did it out of spite because I didn't reply to a low ball offer or they thought I was undercutting their prices. I should also mention that those that did buy parts from me have all received the parts and have messaged me to confirm. If there were any concerns all they have to do was contact me. So please show me how anyone is trying to help

You are jumping to a hell of a lot of conclusions.
You were offered a reason that perhaps someone thought you were a scammer to help you, but didn’t actually accuse you of such. Then you fly off the handle with a rant pointing digits all over the place. Perhaps it’s your attitude that got you banned Nick, if every time someone doesn’t give you exactly what you want, be it advice or a price of something you’re selling you go on the offensive. Since AP page asks for price and location and you don’t follow the rules, which you admitted to above, then it’s hardly a surprise your post is taken down. Since no one knows you, not sure why you expect someone to vouch for you. “Can anyone tell me why a guy who won’t give any details of who they are was banned from the AP page, plus another page that has nothing to do with AP the same time. Also I don’t know who they are but they want to sell stuff, but whatever you do don’t call them a scammer or they go off on one”
Is that what you would like ?
As was mentioned, drop the shop an email and ask. I know nothing of FB but pretty certain it’s not a moderator courtesy to message someone to check your authenticity before blocking.

Mark RedRatbike is a mod on that page, he could ask and let me know why i was banned but for some reason is refusing to do so. I made a mistake with 1 listing and rectified it and reposted. I have offered help and advice and given stuff away for free. So I just wanted to know why I was banned. And I have not been offensive to anyone. I will probably be banned from here now

Hence I don’t do Facebook. No red lines have been crossed from my point of view. Difference of opinion certainly isn’t one of them to a point. Having said that I don’t think there is any more mileage in this thread unless something meaningful comes to light.
I do remember you from your previous time on the forum. It’s quiet now relative to then posts wise but the hit rate for the site is off the charts. It’s a big source of reference for search engines on Aprilia topics. On the 12th may there were 3480 simultaneous visitors on the forum.

Think it's best you go back to face ache this forum is for like minded aprilia enthusiasts not a Facebook slanging match. Mark is a top bloke and has contributed and helped loads of people myself included certainly never seen any spite or malicious intentions over the 10+ years I've been on here.
