   Hi all,
I am about to return to the fold having sold my original owned from new RSV back in 2009. I'm currently looking at a couple of 1st gens and will probably go the way of the standard bike and not an R. I was a member of the forum back 15 to 20 years ago and remember the big meets that took place at the ACE and one particular meet that started at Baldock services. I'd never seen so many RSV's in one place. What a noise! 
Sadly one of the rides ended in tragedy and a couple of guys lost their lives, things were starting to get silly and that really put me off road riding especially in large groups. I've had other bikes/makes since then but have always had an itch to scratch in the form of an RSV. 
Anyway, I may have a bike in the next couple of weeks and in the meantime I'll be lurking and reminding
myself of all the pitfalls(walletwise) of owning one.
