The earths are solid. And as for Italians, the upside of this little upset with the Priller is that I'm commuting on me 916Smile

i'll stick my neck out and say it's not your ecu or dash. I reckon you have a loom fault. Have you got 12v on the white/Yellow wire to the Ecu from the switch. That is main ecu power ?

Breaking news chaps...the boy dunnit!!!! Whatever way the ECU was hung suddenly cleared. Set up my by-pass wire on the ignition connector, put it home as I turned the key, and there was everything back to normal. She fired on the button and stayed firing. So there y'go.Smile
Gonna need a new barrel, I suppose, or maybe the switch section is detachable - it looks like it might be.
Then again, I might just wire a separate switch to throw as I turn the key - for the time being at least.

Been a bit of a soap opera, this, but thanx for all the advice. It's a bit much a noob like me just commin on when he has a problem, and I really appreciate itBig smile

I think the switch and barrel are seperate items.

Makes a change to have an electrical fault other than Joe frying another stator running his house lights off the rsv

Final word - got the top yoke off today and opened the bottom of the barrel - one lousy wire had fractured off at the solder point, simple as that. And a cheap fixBig smile

Hi, I wanted to add one thing as had the exact same symptoms but on a ride and the bike just turns off. Please always check the fuse box first as with mine thats what was causing the issue described here a damn 5a fuse from lights.I cannot believe that the bike wants to kill You just because of the lights gone bad.
