I once managed about 140 motorway miles on my first Gen1 before the light came on so they should be good for a 150 mile range safely unless ragged. The Eddy did a little less as it was a bit more rev happy (or was that me?
).

I usually start looking for a fuel stop around 120 miles, assuming gentle riding. The fuel light won't be far away.
If I'm not being gentle, the light will be n before 100 miles... ![]() |

Nice trip up around St Mary's Loch to Moffat yesterday and did 134 miles before I filled up in Moffat. The light had not come on and I got 13.6 litres in - 44.8mpg. Not bad I think although we weren't going ape(!) |

Even if you’re giving it some all day many say they see the light at 80 something miles. Button it off then, as you still have minimum of a gallon left and would see near 120 comfortably.
I rode to Griff on my Gen 2 and hit the motorway at 123 miles, having forgot to fill up. Light on and so cruised, filling up at 150 ish miles. If the 18litre tank was actually 18litres then I still had 2 litres in it. My general rule was fill up at 100 miles regardless. |

I think I usually get around 118 miles before the light comes on and I don't thrash mine. I do run short gearing though which doesn't help mileage |
