Hi been on the group a while although never needed help till now but im in need of some help and advise, i have trawled the net and forums but im still at a brick wall!!.............Have a 2006 Gen2 Tuono... Went to fire it up yesterday and nothing not a click nothing, it has a brand new battery in it, i checked every fuse all ok...i went back over my work from last weekend as i did the sidestand mod and switch delete...then checked again everything looks ok...but as soon as you turn on the ignition the red triangle in top right of dash and "SERVICE" are on the dash and it wont start or attempt to start. I went into the diagnostic menu after finding the code from the forums and two error's are showing starter P-CODE 0616 , A-CODE 50 and fuel pump P-CODE 0231 , A-CODE 45 so obviously these are being disabled somehow but i have tried all i can think off, even cleaned the kill switch and starter button contacts.pulled apart most connectors i can see and cleaned them also, it used to have a Taurus T3000 immobilser that was disconnected so rechecked that to make sure it wasnt connected causing the bike not to start but no...so i am stumped it was starting ok , has new battery fully charged, Side stand switch is ok, so any ideas or info on the codes i could look at ,,,also checked the tilt sensor was the right way up seems ok but may bypass this as well...any help is much appreciated

Have you lifted the tank at all or accidentally unplugged the fuel pump connector?

They easily separate

The starter circuit is down. It’s likely 1 of 2 scenarios.

1. No or low power or missing earth to starter circuit eg. blown fuse or bad fuse connections, plug or wire disconnected etc around starter circuit,  tip over, tank etc.
2. The safety circuit is active, ( tip over, stand switch, immob etc)

The 45 error for the oil pressure switch is probably spurious and common to appear in low power situations.

No but i will check every connector again over next few days when i get in from Work..it was starting and running ok but as i say not a peep from the pump or starter when the key is turned will double check every connector hopefully find it typical Aprilia gremlins at work,,had similar with my RSVR found to be a split wire but took me 5 weeks to find it lol

Well just spent the weekend disconnecting , cleaning and reconnecting every connector on the bike..it wasnt looking good...then it started blowing fuse 15amp D in the fuse box..so reference the wiring diagram its the pump, starter, spped, lamda sensor ...so of i went isolating each circuit and it started when the lamda sensor was disconnected, bit more investigation and it revealed that one of the wires had been  was grounding out so cut it resoldered it, bit of heatshrink and all is well...at least the bike has good connections now
